Terms of use

1. Your data is yours. Samples, licences and maps you upload are private to your account. Nobody else sees them unless you share a licence with another user. PitMap does not sell or publish your data. Administrators can open accounts only to give support or fix a problem.

2. Maps are guidance. A hot-spot map is a mathematical estimate from your samples. It shows where gold is more likely, not where it is certain. Results depend on the quality of the samples, the lab and the coordinates you give. Always check targets on the ground before you spend money on digging.

3. Safety and the law. Dig only on a licence you hold or have permission to work on, and follow the Mining Act, the Mining Commission rules and your licence conditions. Make pits and shafts safe.

4. Credits. Some actions use credits (prices are on the Credits page). Credits you have paid for are not returned as cash, but are kept on your account. If a map fails, nothing is charged.

5. Your account. Keep your password secret. One account per person and phone number. Accounts that abuse the service (fake accounts, attacks, someone else's data) may be closed.

6. Changes. These terms may change as PitMap grows. The latest version is always on this page.
